Art Department

Courses in the Art Department are designed around a studio concept. Students are able to explore a variety of two and three dimensional projects to develop their perception, understanding, response, skill, creation, and evaluation capabilities. Learning is encouraged by in-class student participation using a variety of modes. Emphasis is placed on the development of the students' innate creative capacity through experimenting, inventing, creating, designing, and problem solving in purposeful learning activities. A serious approach to learning is expected in all ofthe courses. Students selecting more than two (2) courses per year, must have Teacher Recommendation and Signature.
