Special Education Department

The goal of this program is to place students in the "least restrictive environment". An Individual Education Program Committee, with parent involvement, works together to establish and maintain the most appropriate Individual Education Program (IEP). All referrals made by teachers, parents, counselors and administrators receive the full attention of appropriate school staff. If it is determined that the student is in need of special services, an appropriate program is so designed. Final placement is made only after the Individualized Education Program has been developed and signed by the school staff and parents.
