GHS: Clubs & Organizations
The Environmental Club is a science club that promotes awareness of our natural environment. One of the club’s primary goals is to foster an appreciation of nature. The activities that the Environmental Club may participate in are nature hikes, guest speakers, service projects, field trips, envirothon competition, etc.
Our regular meetings are held on the third Thursday of every month in Room 1124 directly after school. Special meetings may be held to accommodate events that cannot be scheduled for a regular meeting. This club participates in the PA Conservancy Neighborhood Beautification Project on a yearly basis.
The Environmental Club also promotes participation in the regional Envirothon, which is a competition between school districts that centers on nature.
Officers for the 2009-2010 school year will be elected in the fall.
The Environmental Club's Adviser is Mr. Joseph Vigo.
