GHS: Clubs & Organizations
You have 720 days in high school---make every one of them count.
The Future is Mine (TFIM) is a “ready for the real world” initiative committed to encouraging all youth, grades K-12, to find their passion and pursue their dreams---but in an informed way. TFIM does this by supporting the school community in creating opportunities that combine the dreams of the students with real-life experiences. The goal is to empower young people to make smart decisions, concerning their future careers and, ultimately, their future success.
The students in “The Future is Mine” team will create career awareness/exploration experiences for themselves, peers, and the school community. The goal is reach the entire student body as well as younger peers in middle/elementary schools through interactive projects. Students from our TFIM group will also attend the annual Spring Leadership Conference where they will share their ideas with students from across Western PA.
If you are interested in building your resume, learning important job skills and finding out what is out there for you, consider joining “The Future is Mine”!
Regular meetings will be held bi-monthly. Nominations for officers will take place in the Fall 2011.
Advisor is Mrs. Colleen Tortorella.
