Gateway is an award-winning district that serves the communities of Monroeville and Pitcairn, about 15 miles east of Pittsburgh. With over 4,300 students and 565 staff members, the district operates five elementary schools (Evergreen, Pitcairn, Ramsey, Moss Side, and University Park), two middle schools (Gateway Middle, Moss Side Middle) and Gateway High. 

Gateway School District, in partnership with the community, aims to provide quality K-12 education for all students in a safe environment, and to promote academic excellence, enhance self-worth, and develop responsible citizens who will be productive, life-long learners in a diverse and changing world.
